PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Mr. Gurwicz joined Campbell-Hill in July 2018 as a Director and was promoted to Vice President in March 2020. He has 15 years of extensive travel industry experience encompassing international network planning, strategy, sales, revenue analysis, and airline business development. Mr. Gurwicz has experience working for both legacy and low-cost carriers. Before joining Campbell-Hill, Mr. Gurwicz worked at Iberia Airlines, a subsidiary of International Airlines Group (IAG), as the Business Development Manager for North America. He also held Network Planning positions at Southwest Airlines.
Mr. Gurwicz, originally from Argentina, brings extensive experience in Latin American markets to Campbell-Hill and was paramount in the company’s expansion into the Latin American and Caribbean region. Mr. Gurwicz currently manages a portfolio of airport and government agency clients in the Latin American region.
Mr. Gurwicz helps clients capitalize on commercial opportunities with airlines across the world. He advises on airline strategy, market development, network planning, airline performance, schedule planning, marketing, and other areas. In addition, Mr. Gurwicz has testified as an expert witness in an international air transport arbitration case.
At Iberia, Mr. Gurwicz was responsible for North American points of sale for both Iberia and LEVEL Airlines. In addition, Mr. Gurwicz led performance reviews and developed strategies for IAG’s joint venture partners, including British Airways’ Mexico point of sale plan, which resulted in significantly increased revenues.
As a Business Consultant at Southwest, Mr. Gurwicz’s expertise in the Latin air travel segment helped facilitate Southwest’s successful entry into Latin American and Caribbean markets. Mr. Gurwicz developed mid-term and long-term international network strategy, including the launch of US gateways to numerous Latin American and Caribbean destinations. Notable projects include Southwest’s international expansion at Houston Hobby and Fort Lauderdale airports and the company’s historic launch to Cuba.
Prior to working at Southwest, Mr. Gurwicz founded LetMeBook.com, a website built to help travelers find the best air fares and itineraries.
